ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION
By Ione Michele
On October 18th, our class at Hamk,
with Professor Marja Laurikainen, approached the theme of Entrepreneurship
Education. We had the opportunity to explore and discuss concepts, objectives
and their application in Brazilian education.
We initially discussed about the
perspectives on what education for entrepreneurship is and how it can be
produced and evaluated as an educational practice. At the same time, we seek to
describe how this can manifest as a pedagogical practice in a diverse
educational system with different levels, curriculum and traditions.
Thus, we can understand that
education for entrepreneurship implies activities aimed at the development of students'
perceptions. Generally, it disseminates practices that inspire in students the
desire to undertake, be it in the economic, social and cultural sphere. For this, it seeks to develop
the qualities and skills necessary for an entrepreneur, such as the ability to
see opportunities, proactivity and confidence by becoming a protagonist.
Entrepreneurship education is linked to sustainable
local development technologies, so it targets not only the individual, but the
community. It stimulates the student's ability to choose without interfering in
their decisions, preparing for their own options.
After the inquiries and discussions
about the concept and objectives of the theme, the groups presented how
entrepreneurship education is applied in the Brazilian educational system,
especially in our state of Paraíba.
